Carbon Bandsaw Blades

Carbon blades are ideal for short production / maintenance / general purpose applications using low alloy steel and non-ferrous metals and also wood production.

  • Manufactured from a single piece of high carbon steel with individually hardened tooth tips
  • More fatigue resistant than carbon hard back

4, 6 and 10tpi tend to be used for cutting wood, plastic or non ferrous metals.
14 and 18tpi are great for general purpose metal cutting.
32tpi is great for thin sheet metal or thin tubed material.

Bimetal Bandsaw Blades

Bimetal blades are metal cutting blades. They are used on band saws to cut carbon steel, tool steel, structural steel, pipes and tubes, die steel, angles and flat stock, and mixed metal applications.

  • Manufactured from 2 metals – M42 tool steel is welded via an electron beam to a flexible backer
  • They typically last 3-5 times as long as a carbon blade (flexback and hardback)
